NBAC Dealer Benefits & Responsibilities

Benefits:

·        New Berne Antiques and Collectibles website offers internet customers directions, hours of operation.

·        Website is listed in several antique association sites.

·        Various size booths, small to large @ $1.35 per sq ft.

  • 3' (3) shelf storage area provided with every booth.

  • (2) hanging lamps in consignment area free - no commission.

  • Bargain Corner to place reduced clearance items free - no commission.

·        NO Sales commission.

·    Sales Tax is collected and paid by the Mall. Mall dealers must have a sales tax number on file.

·  All Major credit cards accepted.

  • Gift cards available.

 Responsibilities:

·        Required to work on the floor (1 1/2) full or (3) half days as a sales associate.

·        Substitute worker list available if unable to work. $20.00 per half day. $80.00 per month.

 ·   Responsibilities of dealers working as Sales Associates are to walk the floor; paying special attention to what customers are doing, assist customers, open showcases, find items customers are looking for, clear customers’ hands of merchandise by taking the merchandise to the checkout bins.  They are to pay special attention to customers to deter shoplifting, ticket removal, ticket altering, ticket switching, etc. 

 ·        Dealers may bring in or remove merchandise from the Mall whenever necessary.  It is preferred that larger items be brought in during the morning hours, as it is usually the slowest time for the Mall.  Dealers must have all packages checked out by the cashier before removing them from the Mall.

 ·        Dealers are responsible for keeping their booths clean, attractive, safe and well merchandised.

 ·        Any shelving, wall, flooring, etc. must be approved by Safety & Dealer committee’s before installation.  Use complimentary and safe displays whenever setting up your merchandise.

 ·         Booth contents and arrangement of merchandise resulting in personal injury is not covered under the Mall’s Liability policy. It is strongly suggested that each dealer have a personal liability policy to cover their booth.

 ·        All merchandise must be clean, priced and presentable when brought into the Mall.  Cashiers will not sell any item without a price tag with all pertinent information attached to the item.
